Patriots maul Lusher to stay undefeated in distric

Patriots pound out 16 hits and 25 runs en route to 25-0 victory.
Every Patriot played in Tuesday's district game against Lusher as the Patriots pounded out 16 hits and 25 runs to stay undefeated in district play (3-0). The Patriots got it going early with a 9 run first inning behind John Walsdorf mammoth 3 run home run to put the Patriots up 4-0. The Patriots would eventually tack on five more runs in the inning. After scoring just one run in the second inning, Conner Mullins would match Walsdorf's home run with a home run of his own. This one was a three run jack as well, to put the Patriots up 13-0 after three innings of play. The Patriots subbed from there on out and the subs didn't disappoint. The substitutes put an 11 spot on the board in the bottom of the fourth for a 25-0 lead. Three Patriot pitchers combined for a no hitter. Matt Saucier got the start and struck out five of the nine batters he faced through two innings of work. Stone Speer would pitch two innings as well and he struck out all six outs. Matt Stansbury would pitch the fifth and go three up and three down striking out two and ending the game with a weak comebacker to the mound.
